  • aim的基本意思是指用武器或類似物“瞄準”要射擊的目標,引申可表示“針對”某人〔物、事物〕或者以某物作爲其既定的目標、目的。aim還可表示“計劃”或“打算”。
  • 作“瞄準”解時, aim是不及物動詞; 作“以…瞄準…”或“針對”解時, aim是及物動詞,以槍、箭或話語、批評等詞作賓語,而以at引起的短語表示目的物。
  • aim作“以…爲目標”“計劃”“打算”解時抱有很明確的目的，竝常指正爲之努力或爭取。可用作不及物動詞,其後接介詞at或for引起的短語; 也可用作及物動詞,接動詞不定式作賓語或用於be aimed at結搆。

  • aim用作名詞時含義上與用作動詞時相同,一是表示“瞄準(的動作)”,二是表示“目標,目的”。
  • aim作“瞄準”解時是不可數名詞,其前不用冠詞; 作“目的”解時, aim是可數名詞,其前可加不定冠詞或數詞。
  • aim在指“旨在”時，後常接at和動名詞（英國），或接不定式（美國)。He aims at mastering English.（英國） He aims to master English.（美國）
