attend的本意是指心裡經常性地想著〔做〕某事,現代英語中主要用於表示“蓡加(會議、集會、典禮、婚禮、追悼會等)”,有時也指上學、聽課、聽報告等。它強調的是動作,即聽或看,爲正式書麪用語。
attend作“專心,注意”解時,多指對書本、圖表、課業、命令、事物、事件等的注意。其後常接to。
