Everyone 與 Everybody用法區別

1. 兩者意思相同，均表示“人人”“每人”等，但 everybody比 everyone 更常用、更口語化。用作主語，謂語用單數。如：

Everyone [Everybody] burst out laughing. 每個人都大笑起來。

使用相應代詞時，按傳統語法是使用陽性人稱代詞，除非上下文中是明確指隂性的（如a girls' school女校）。如：

Everyone knows what he has to do, doesn't he? 每個人都知道他必須做什麽，對嗎?

但是，在實際運用中，人們通常使用性別差異的複數代詞。如：

Everyone knows what they have to do, don't they? 每個人都知道自己必須做什麽，對嗎?

2. 指三者或三者以上的“每人”，不能用來指兩者。如：

來了兩個男孩，我給他們每人一個蘋果。

正：Two boys came, and I gave an apple to each.

誤：Two boys came, and I gave an apple to everyone.( www.yingyuyufa.com)

3. 一般不後接 of 短語，若接可用 every one。如：

Every one of the children was crying. 那些孩子個個都在哭。

everyone與every one的另一個區別是：前者衹用於指人，後者可用於指人或指物。如：

His books are wonderful. I've read every one of them. 他的書寫得好極了，我每一本都讀過了。

4. 與 not 連用，通常搆成部分否定。如：

However, not everybody agreed. 然而竝不是人人都同意。

Grammar isn't everyone's idea of fun. 語法不是每個人都認爲有趣的。

5. 受形容詞的脩飾時，形容詞置於其後。如：

Everyone intelligent can do the work. 每一個有智力的人都可以做這工作。
